Women Build Tampa is a Habitat for Humanity initiative that focuses on the issues that women and women with children face in regards to gaining access to affordable housing. Each year women from all backgrounds come together to help a single mother in Hillsborough County realize her dream of homeownership. Around the world, and in our own community, women are more likely to live in substandard and poverty conditions. This is especially true of women who have children. Women Build empowers women volunteers to participate in an exciting experience, constructing a home for a local single mother.

If you prefer, checks may also be mailed to our office at 509 E Jackson Street, Tampa, FL 33602. Please be sure to include the team and/or fundraiser’s name so your gift can be credited toward the correct goal.

What is Women Build Tampa?
Women Build is a powerful, female-led initiative rallying local women to make a life-changing impact—raising vital funds to build a safe, stable Habitat home for a single mother and her family. Every dollar raised helps bring them closer to homeownership, and participants who meet their fundraising goal also earn the unforgettable experience of working alongside our Tampa Habitat team to help build the home they made possible!
Beyond building a home, Women Build raises awareness of the critical need for affordable housing and how it creates strength, stability, and self-reliance for families through shelter. Together, we can make the dream of homeownership a reality!

Women Build brings together women from across our community who share a common goal: making a meaningful impact for local families. If you’ve been looking for a way to give back but aren’t sure where to start, Women Build is the perfect place to begin.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Habitat for Humanity of Tampa Bay Hillsborough’s Women Build. Over the past decade, hundreds of women have come together to raise funds, build homes, and create lasting change. Whether you’re fundraising for the first time or you’re a seasoned participant, our Habitat team will support you every step of the way.
You don’t have to do it alone. By joining a fundraising team or making a donation, you’re helping provide safe, affordable housing for hardworking local families who need a hand up—not a handout.
In 2026, more than 240 fundraisers raised funds covered a significant portion of the construction costs for a Habitat home. Every dollar raised and every hour volunteered helps build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

How do I get involved?
There’s still time to be part of our 10th Anniversary Women Build campaign! Women from across Tampa Bay have already come together to raise funds, share their stories, and support local families on their journey to homeownership—and we’d love for you to join them.
Getting started is easy. Register using the button at the top of this page and begin fundraising toward your $600 goal. You can participate as an individual or create a team with friends, family members, or coworkers. Whether you're a seasoned fundraiser or brand new to Women Build, our Habitat team will provide resources, ideas, and support to help you succeed.
Once you reach your fundraising goal, you'll unlock the opportunity to schedule your volunteer build day on the Women Build site at your convenience. You'll work alongside other incredible women helping build safe, affordable homes and stronger communities throughout Tampa Bay. Participants who reach their goal will also receive an exclusive Women Build Tool Kit, including a purple hard hat, hammer, Women Build T-shirt, and safety glasses.
