EMPOWERMENT

Women Build is a call to action for women looking to better their community and spread awareness of the challenges for families who can’t afford decent housing. It empowers women volunteers to participate in an exciting experience constructing a home for a local single mother.

FUNDRAISING

*Teams and individuals will raise enough money to help fund the construction project.
**Individual fundraising requirement to build: $600
**Team fundraising requirement to build depends on the number of women on the team. A team of two(2) will have a goal of $1200. A team of five(5) will have a goal of $3,000 and so on. 

BUILDING

First we FUNdraise, then we build! The construction of the WB2024 home is set to begin June 6th and continue through August/September until completed. Registered teams of women who meet their fundraising goals will be offered an opportunity to volunteer on the home, working together as a team or sign up for an "individuals day" (dates to be announced). The home address is yet to be announced and teams/individuals may only schedule their build days after reaching their fundraising goal, so it is first come first serve!

**Each team or individual is only required to work one full day on the build site. Teams/individuals may choose to do more after every team has had the opportunity to schedule their date**

The Women Build initiative connects women from across the county who are looking to make a real difference. Looking for a way to serve your community can be overwhelming, and choosing an initiative or mission that is right for you can be daunting.  This is our 8th annual Habitat Hillsborough Women Build.  Our community of active and inspiring women builders along with our hands-on Habitat Team provides the support first time fundraisers will need along the way. Making a lasting impact in your community does not have to be something you tackle alone. Whether you join a fundraising team or donate to the cause, you join us in changing the lives of local, hardworking families who need a hand Up, not a handout. We thank you for helping to spread the word of Habitat's mission and creating a world where everyone has a decent and safe place to call home.

Over 140 participants raised over $113,110 which helped in covering a significant cost of the home.
